With its “Plant a tree” program, Danonino, which is Danone’s fruit-flavoured fromage frais for children ages 3 to 8, has been offering the young generation a way to think about their future and be more aware of biodiversity issues. The project has been implemented on -and off- pack, providing a packet of seeds to be planted for every product pack purchased. Children can also plant a virtual tree on the brand’s website using a code found on the package. For each code entered, the NGO partner agrees to plant a real tree. Danonino “Plant a tree” is now established in eight countries where the brand is sold (Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and the USA).To date, more than 50,000 trees have been planted representing a reforestation surface of 179 000 square meters.
